ABOUT ALYSSA

Originally from Long Island, NY, Alyssa graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Production and Design with a concentration in Scene Design while also obtaining additional professional training when she attended a Scenic Painting training program at Cobalt Studios in 2018. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia in May of 2019 and is pursuing a career in Scenic Art.
Most recently she has been working as a Scenic Artist full time for the Macy's Parade Studio since 2021 and was in a seasonal position there in 2019. She has had the opportunity to work on Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade floats such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Netflix, Disney Cruise Line, Peacock and many more. Alongside that, she has also painted the last 4 years of the Macy's Flower Shows in Herald Square. Prior to that, during the pandemic, she single-handedly painted 5 large murals that totaled over 1,000 sq. feet for a Christmas Tree Farm out east on Long Island. Right before the pandemic, she was freelancing in NYC/NJ working at various theatres and production fabrication companies.
Alyssa was first immersed into the world of Scenic Art when she was in high school and joined Stage Crew. She loved painting the sets and realized there was nothing else she'd rather do in life than become a Scenic Artist.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, baking and hiking.
